On behalf of the Japan Endocrine Society (JES), we are pleased to invite you to the 14th International Congress of Endocrinology (ICE2010) to be held in Kyoto, Japan from March 26 (Fri.) to 30 (Tue.) in 2010.

The Japan Endocrine Society was founded in 1925 and has about 7,000 active members with six branch societies. In 1988 the Japan Endocrine Society had the honor of hosting the 8th International Congress of Endocrinology in Kyoto (ICE1988). The conference was of a great success with 4,500 participants from all over the world.

ICE2010 is going to be a new style of ICE under the new statutes of the International Society of Endocrinology (ISE). As the host society, the Japan Endocrine Society is proud to have been organizing the most attractive congress of endocrinology and metabolism ever in the spirit of both science and international exchange. Thirteen official satellite symposia are also to be held before and after the main congress in Kyoto and other cities around Japan.

Kyoto is also a great city of academia, internationalism and natural scenic beauty. Spring in Kyoto is endowed with cherry blossoms and is the most beautiful season of the year. According to the recent forecast, cherry trees in Kyoto will be in full bloom on March 26, the first day of the congress.
